Course Description

Embark on an exhilarating 8-week odyssey with our Advanced TV & Film Scene Study, a groundbreaking hybrid program seamlessly integrating online acting techniques with traditional in-person scene study. Tailored for those aspiring to elevate on-screen storytelling skills while enhancing online acting proficiency, this dynamic course delves deep into TV and film acting, emphasizing character development, emotional truth, and script analysis—essential skills for authentic performances in both online and in-person settings. In the Advanced TV & Film Scene Study's hybrid format, experience the best of both worlds. The online component commences the journey with a focused exploration of monologues from contemporary scripts, professionally recorded to track progress. Transition seamlessly to in-person scene study classes, engaging in table reads, blocking, dress rehearsals, and a final recital performance for an invited audience. Benefit from weekly readings, videos, podcasts, and exercises reinforcing lessons in crafting multi-dimensional characters, cultivating habits that enhance imagination, build creative confidence, and foster a positive mindset for success. Our seasoned instructor provides constructive feedback, propelling your growth. The Advanced TV & Film Scene Study's innovative blend of online and in-person sessions offers a unique 8-week opportunity to refine your craft, ensuring limitless on-screen potential in this transformative exploration.To facilitate a seamless learning experience, students should have access to a reliable internet connection for the first 4 online Zoom classes and be comfortable using online platforms such as Google Drive and Google Classroom for accessing scripts and supplemental materials. INSTRUCTOR BIO: Jorge-Luis Pallo is an Actor/Director/Coach with a BFA in Dramatic Arts from NYU's Tisch School of The Arts. Along with his many theater credits, he has had over 20 years and over 80 TV & Film credits worth of experience as a professional SAG-AFTRA Actor. He has had high-profile roles in films like Cry Macho directed by and starring Clint Eastwood, Minority Report & War Of The Worlds directed by Steven Spielberg, and Insidious: Chapter 2 & Furious 7 directed by James Wan. In television he starred as series regular Marc Molina in The Secret Life of The American Teenager and has recurred on American Horror Story, NCIS: Los Angeles, Sons of Anarchy and Goliath w/Billy Bob Thorton.
