Course Description
In this 16-session, 32-hour workshop, headlining comedian (co-creator and star of AMC Cooper's Bar) David Conolly will demystify the secrets of joke structure, and guide you through the process of building a full stand up comedy set from scratch. Students will experience performing in front of a group, and receive personalized notes on strategies to improve. Participants will be encouraged to step outside of their comfort zones and find a home in the spotlight. Whether you are a beginner, or an experienced comedian in need of a brush-up, this is a workshop designed for you to explore your funny. 8 Weeks Mondays & Wednesdays, 2:30–4:30pm (16 Sessions/32 Hrs. Total) INSTRUCTOR: David Conolly David Conolly is an actor, writer and director who regularly tours the USA as a headline comedian. Trained at Mountview Theatre School in London, David has co-starred in the TV show MENACE alongside Steven Moyer (TRUE BLOOD), starred in the feature film MOTHERS & DAUGHTERS (which he also produced, co-wrote and co-directed), and is a standing member of BAFTA. David performs stand up across the USA, and has been selected in the top 100 comics of North America in the World Series of Comedy.
