First up....

MOTION CAPTURE

2 SESSIONS: December 6th - 10th & December 13th - 17th.

MONDAY - FRIDAY, 9:00am - 5:00pm PT

In this five-day, 30-hour advanced workshop, students are introduced to the world of Motion Capture or "MoCap". We will explore the essential techniques used for acting in video games and advanced CG sequences for film and TV. Actors will draw upon their training and performance skills to create actual professional-grade motion capture content. Participants learn the basics of motion capture, then proceed through the process of developing a digital character and using cutting-edge animation technologies to bring their performances to life. The goal is make the actor fully prepared to hit the ground running the moment they set foot into a professional motion capture studio. At the conclusion of the workshop, students take delivery of a completed CG scene suitable for a demo reel.

Requirements:

Participants should bring a journal for notes, and wear comfortable, movement-friendly clothing and footwear. They should bring water and lunch/food/snacks.
